Newbie has been with us for four days now. She is doing beautifully. This girl has a joy for life that is just bubbling over. She is interested in everything that is going on. She loves her walks, she can hardly contain herself when I pick up the leash to take her out.  She does her business very quickly and then enjoys every minute of her walk as she keeps an eye on everything around her.
She sleeps through the night on a dog bed in our room. In the morning she is up and excited to start a new day.  She reminds me of the saying "Today is the first day of the rest of your life."  Go for it, Newbie!

Sweet Tunes aka Newbie has been home with us for about 24 hours now.  So far she has been a perfect lady in our home.  She and Lady have been getting along nicely.  Newbie has been my shadow, she wants to be wherever I am.  She is very curious about everything and gave the house a thorough inspection.
Yesterday afternoon our granddaughters visited.  They are 3 and 5 years old. Newbie was great with them. My 5 year old granddaughter decided Newbie should be named Sonic Boom instead of Newbie.  I have no idea where that came from!
Newbie wore herself out yesterday, she did not lay down and rest until the evening.  I sat on the couch and had Lady curled up on one side of me and Newbie on the other.  She came into our room at bedtime and slept on her dog bed through the night.
She likes to play with toys, she played "fetch" for a few minutes this morning with a dog toy.  If you try to play fetch with Lady she just looks at you like you are nuts.  What a difference between a very laid back 10 year old and an active 5 year old!
We don't have a fenced yard so she and Lady are walked together. She is good on the leash and seems to enjoy our walks.

Back to Find New Love

Newbie has come back to SEGA through no fault of her own to find her forever home. This sweet girl is home acclimated and would make a wonderful addition to a home with a dog friend for her to pal around with.

Settling In

I have been here for 2 weeks and I am loving life. As you can see, I get along with all my mates - canine and feline. I love to play with my other dogs and all the cats. I also like to chill out with my Mom on the couch or on the bed. She says I act more like a labrohound. (whatever that is) I do like her lap.

So far so good

I am SO happy here at my foster home. My foster family loves me so much. I am still a little scared of the stairs but they are being patient with me. Sometimes my Foster Mom just pushes me from behind and I go on down. Usually it is for food or to go outside so I don't mind so much. There are a bunch of kitties around here and they are cute too. They want to play sometimes and I give them kisses. There is a dog called a Pug too, but she does not look like a dog to me. She is funny looking and likes to sleep on the dog bed with me. I give my people kisses too and they let me!!! The best part is there is a boy named Sam that lives with me. He is so much fun and likes to hug me and lay on the floor with me. I love it when he hugs me and was never scared of him or anything. I kiss him alot on the face and all. He laughs when I do it.

I have not had any accidents in the house. I eat in my crate and go in there sometimes to take a nap. But usually I sleep on the my dog bed. After the first night here, I started sleeping next to my Mom on the floor by her bed. I don't wake anyone up until morning.

They keep saying what a good dog I am, but I am just doing what I know I need to do to keep this great gig going. I am no dummy!!

Fonda's first day in foster!

Fonda came home with us today to foster. We "re-cat tested" her and she had little interest in the cat. Now that we have her home, she has met all 4 of them and has even kissed the "mean" one, Bandit. They even performed a circus trick by Bandit jumping over Fonda then using Fonda's hip as a spring board. Our Pug loves her as well.

Fonda is so sweet and has fallen right in the routine. Our sweet babies, Max and Jazzy welcomed her with open paws and we are all happy campers. We will post updates soon.
